March 31, Drive to Travis Air Show: . We all have “the need for speed”, but the Air Force Thunderbirds take that to a different level (as in the air!!). Enjoy a drive to the AFT and maybe a “tailgate” lunch while daredevils perform all sorts of acrobatics.
April 26-28, a 2 night tour to Hearst Castle. Enjoy some great roads i! a part of the state that Yosemite Region has not visited! Destinations include one night at the Madona Inn and a visit to Hearst Castle.
May 11. Yankee Hill Winery Cooking Class. Save the date.
June 23, Underground Gardens in Fresno. A great way to stay cool with a one day destination drive to this unique venue.
July 13,14, R-U-Hot Drive. Speaking of staying cool, we plan a revival of the “R-U-Hot” drive. This version will reprise our drive to the Lick Observatory, lunch in Los Gatos before we drive to Pacific Grove and our hotel, Aslimar Conference Center. Our return trip along Highway 1 to Half Moon Bay, then to Livermore for lunch and back to the valley on Tesla Drive.
Aug 16, WERKS Reunion. Join us for this unique Porsche Fest that is now a highlight of the year.
Sept 21,22. Indycars at Laguna Seca. Indy cars are returning to Laguna after a long absence. Gotta seem ’em. Plan to drive to LS Saturday morning for qualifying and support races, overnight (lodging TBD) and watch the race Sunday. Drive “home” at your leisure.
Sept 27: Movie Night — The Art of Racing in the Rain. The release date is not out! “The Art of Racing in the Rain” will be a “must-see” for all car enthusiasts! While the back drop is racing and the car culture, it is a warm story about family and the family dog, Enzo. Based on the best seller book of the same title.
Oct 19,20. Our region’s 60th Anniversary Tour and Party. This will be our annual “Yosemite” drive but for this special party, we will be staying at the Big Trees Lodge (formerly Wawona Lodge). Dinner, walks in the park… a very special event! Attendance limited to “15 cars”… Watch for registration opening… spots will go fast!
Oct 27. A Lunch at Ironstone — for our 60th Anniversary. This will be the “official” Anniversary celebration. We are working to get a PCA officer to attend to mark the occasion.
Sept 15. New (& old) Member BBQ. The “New (& old) Member BBQ” has become one of our premier events for the year! Lets keep up with our 2018 attendance record!!
Dec 7. Christmas Charity Dinner. the 2018 “Toys-for-Tots” was a great success. Stay tuned for the 2019 version!
