Featured Event and Regional News

Its Official:  Rennsport VII is coming back to Laguna Seca!

Rennsport Reunion doesn’t happen every year, only repeating once in a 3 to 4 year period.  The last was in 2018 and it was EPIC.  Rennsport VII will be Sept 28 to Oct 1st, 2023.  And the second part of the announcement is that it will return to Laguna Seca!

OK, it is over a year out, but now is the time to “save the date” and start making plans to attend.   Some of the hard core Yosemite members will be attending all FOUR days.  Organized by PCNA, Kjell Gruner, President and CEO, promises the “best ever” event as it coinsides with Porsche’s return to prototype racing with its LMDH car in 2023.  Expect to see Porsche’s new electric cars, the MacanEV and 718EV on the track!

Great News!  Werks Monterey is (officially) open for Registration!

Tom Provasi has pullend another rabbit out of the hat and secured a location for WERKS this year after loosing access to the Ft Ord golf course from 2021.  This year’s location will be at Monterey Pines Golf Course.   More later, but you can register for the Corral Parking (Judged Display spots are sold out !)  now:

Join Cathy Kuhn for Monterey Motorsports Reunion Aug 17 & 18th

Cathy has arranged a multi-day experience at the Monterey Motorsports Reunion, this year featuring LeMans cars.  Cathy has reserved hotel room in Gilroy (rates are way better than in the Monterey area — and really not that far from Laguna Seca),  as well as organized what to do when at “historic” races!   And after than, the fun continues by attending Weeks Monterey (see above).

Breaking News:….

Results of the national contests were announced at the 2022 Parade, and, for the second year in a row, Yosemite Region’s Website was awarded “First Place” for regions with 100-199 members, Class II.

As webmaster, it is humbling as so many other members contributed to the success of our website.  But it is pretty awesome to have a “REPEAT” win on top of the podium.   Thanks to all.   Don Chaisson, webmaster.
