The last event of 2021 was a festive affair.   Thanks to organizers Chris Boughton, her daughter Emily and restaurant owner Vincent Altadonna who set up a destination dinner.  Destination in that the event arranged for 13th street, in front of the restaurant, to be closed off and available for Yosemite Region to park on the street.  And 36 club member’s Porsches enjoyed the special treatment, courtesy of the Chefs of New York and the city of Modesto!

Vincent even had two fellas outside watching the cars.  Italians offering protection, though it wasn’t obvious exactly what they do, officinally, but I wouldn’t want to be on their bad side!   Maybe one of them was named Luca Brasi!

The event started with folks gathering after parking their cars and enjoying catching up with other members and no host bar offerings.   Because the kitchen needed coordination on the multi optioned menu, the selections were made in advance as part of the Eventbrite registration. The three course menu started with choice of pasta Fagroli, soup or salad; then pepperoni steak, sun dried tomato chicken alfredo, vegetarian gnocchi or salmon with rice and vegetables; and ending with a desert of cheesecake and mini-cannoli’s.

The club had the entire restaurant to itself as the meals were served to compliment “Porsche” related dinner conversations! The photo gallery following is a sampling of the festive times had by the members.

The final part of the event was to present donations to the Toys-for-Tots. USMC sent Bill and Sly to collect the toys.  What would be more fitting way to end our Holiday Party .
