Oakdale Country Club will host a "Car Show" Friday, August 6th. This is NOT a concours, but an informal gathering of all cars of interest, or owners interested in "showing" their cars!! A dinner, provided by the event organization, is included in each Registration (extra dinners are also available for "passengers"!)
Yosemite Region has 15 "spots" in the show. So register early.
With the cancellation of the 2020 WERKS Reunion and likely widely administered vaccines, the 2021 Monterey WERKS Reunion should be an event not to be missed! Registration is NOW open via Mortorsportreg.com. Also, remember to also register for the YOS region Eventbrite event to allow coordination with all our members attending.
Stevens Creek Porsche has kindly offered to have Yosemite Region as a guest to their maintenance facility on Saturday, Aug 28th. Stevens Creek will have two dealer technicians and the Parts Manager to lead a 2 hour discussion about challenges of maintaining our Porsches! After the discussion, interested members will gather at a local restaurant for a no host lunch.
Monthly meeting to discuss issues facing the board, event planning and coordination, etc. Agenda will be available the day of the meeting. Location may be "in person" or video/virtual: All members welcome. Contact Brian to attend. Meeting venues change depending on site availability and expected attendance.
Our past president, Chuck Pierce, started a Yosemite "signature" event a few years ago, the New (and Old) Member's BBQ gathering. COVID cancelled any hope of such an event last year, but we are excited to announce that we have settled on a date and place for this signature event for 2021! Sunday, Sept 12th (12:00 to 3:00, subject to change!). Location, St Jorge Winery in Acampo, CA.
We are looking forward to this event combining three "P's" --Planes, Porsche and Pints. ( P-cubed! ?) with a visit to the Castle Air Museum!
We'll start with an early lunch at The Tarmac brewery (@ 10 AM) then motor on over to the Air Museum where Yosemite member -- and museum docent will lead us on what will be an exciting tour of things that can really go faster than our Porsche cars!
