Yosemite Region “Photo Contest” Show us your Porsche!
January 1 - February 1
The Yosemite Region “Photo Contest” is something you can do with your Porsche while “staying at home”.
This photo contest is a real, but virtual event, with rules and real prizes! This is your chance to take your car out for a “photo shoot” to create an “image”, not just a “picture” of your car. The contest will accept all entries from Jan 1 to Feb 1, 2021. Submissions should be sent to “firstname.lastname@example.org” (you can use the Contact page of the website, or send directly via your emailer.) Entries should list your name, address (where to send the prizes), names of any people in the photo, in jpeg format with a file size of less than 5. MB. All photos should be your “own” effort (no professional entries). You can also submit general information about the location of the “photo shoot” or the fun you had doing the “photo shoot”.
The photos will be “judged” by: Brian Sturkie (President Yosemite Region), Don Chaisson (Webmaster) and Collin Fat (Zone 7 Representative). All decisions by the judges will be final.
Prizes: 1st Place: Choose: Porsche Thermos Mug (you pick the color) or Porsche Bourbon Glass Set; 2nd Place: Choose: Porsche key chain/fob or “Porsche Parking Only” sign; 3rd Place: Coffee Cup-FA Porsche Design. All prizes will be sent you your home.

The “tips” are based on a Tech Tactics presentation by Michael Ross (you see his work often on the cover of Panorama and various articles in Panorama and other national car magazines! And, in the December Panorama, there is an article by Randy Wells on “Behind the Senes at our Photo shoot of the Emory AWD 356”. In the article, Randy chronicles his approach to a “photo shoot” and provides valuable hints, including: 10 Photo Dont’s, and 10 Photo Do’s.
